Rock of Ages

Wanna have a great time at the movie theater? Check out Rock of Ages, a musical filled with 80s rock music. It's a great movie to see with your friends or even your parents, since we all know they're still stuck in that decade.

I saw this movie on Friday with my family, and I was quite surprised at how entertaining it actually was. It included multiple characters that did a phenomenal job playing their role, such as Diego Boneta, Russel Brand, and Tom Cruise. Also, it was filled with 27 songs from the best decade of rock music. Most of which we could all sing along to.

Rock of Ages starts with the main character, Sherrie Christian (played by Jullianne Hough) , a small town girl, moving to Hollywood to pursue her career. There, she meets Drew Boley (played by Diego Boneta) , a guy working at a bar that is entirely surrounded in rock n' roll. Sherrie gets hired at the bar while they are    preparing themselves for the greatest performance of the decade, the last performance of a band, known as Arsenal (which includes Stacee Jaxx, played by Tom Cruise). Meanwhile, the mayor's wife is trying to shut them down.

This movie includes humor, music, and even little bit of drama. For a musical, I would consider this a success.
