Easy Workouts To Do Every Day

It's the summer, and about half of us end up doing nothing at all, and when you do nothing at all, you tend to get out of shape. Instead of sitting on the couch for 8 hours straight, try sitting on the couch for 7 and workout at least an hour a day. Make sure that you don't stuff your face just because you workout more often, though. Try doing these sets every day and in no time, you'll start feeling more energized and stronger.
Do these easy workouts all at once or spread our during your day:
  • 100 jumping jacks
  • 36 lunges
  • 100 step-ups
  • 20 push-ups
  • 50 sit-ups
  • Run for 10 minutes
  • 30 squats
  • Stretch
  • 50 crunches

Plus, there's always a ton of local bands at each city where Warped Tour plays.
If you go to Warped Tour, make sure to take plenty of water, comfortable shoes, a fully charged cell phone, snacks, a hat, and anything else you might need. Who are you most excited to see?

Coconut Oil Promotes Healthy Hair

Something we all aim to have is long, shiny, healthy hair. Want to know what you can use to promote just that? Coconut oil. All you have to do is purchase coconut oil at any grocery store for just about $5 and apply it generously to your hair. Then, you should thoroughly massage your hair and your scalp. After about 20 minutes or so, wash your hair 2-3 times with shampoo and warm water. Air dry your hair and you should notice a dramatic difference in the look of your hair. It should appear much shinier and softer. You can do this several times per month to promote healthy hair.

5 Fun Things to Do This Summer

Every summer, I'm sure that you run out of things to do. It always feels like you do the same things everyday, right? Well, you're not alone. Here's a list of 5 things to do this summer that will guarantee you a great time!

1. Go to a Concert

Every single chance that I get, I try to go to a concert. Whether it's a band I'm completely in love with or a band that I don't listen to often, I give it a shot. As long as you go with friends, you'll have a blast. I recently went to a Walk the Moon concert with my two best friends, and not many people have heard of that band, but it was probably the best night of the summer so far. On top of that, the concert only cost $10, so check in your area for concerts that are that cheap or even free.

2. Reinvent Your Wardrobe
At the end of every summer, most of us go clothes shopping for school, but here's another idea, reinvent the wardrobe that you already have. You can do this when you're bored at home; you'd be surprised on what you could put together. You can easily find creative ways to cut an over-sized t-shirt online. Like in this picture, you can even make an over-sized shirt into a stylish dress! It's easier than you think. So next time that you're bored out of you're mind, go to your closet and use your creativity. Plus, it could save you money to do other things this summer.

3. Visit Colleges
Since day one of school, we've all been pressured into going to college, and now that you're probably in high school, it's really time to start planning since going to college may become a reality within the next few years. Yes, it's stressful, so you might as well get some planning done this summer. Visit a few colleges this summer with your best friends, or even your family. This could help your future decision on picking which college you want to go. Plus, a road trip is guaranteed fun!

4. Go to a Water Park
As we all know, summer's can get hot, really hot. On a hot day, there's nothing much better than spending all day swimming and just having fun. For that reason, going to a water park would be a perfect thing to do this summer, especially if you live in an area that reaches the triple digits. Make sure you do some research on water parks in your area. Some areas provide discounts and even have special events, such as opening water parks over night for a cheaper price. Overall, water parks are a great place to spend your day (or even night) if you bring a friend or two.

5. Go Camping
Every summer, I go camping with my family and it has always been relaxing. It has also always been a great way to spend time with my family. Even if it's just an overnight trip, you will definitely have a great time in nature. If you decide to go with family, or even a big group of friends, try going hiking or swimming in a nearby lake. And don't forget your fishing poles! If your year is always busy and full of stress, then camping would be a great activity to do this summer. You can catch up on sleep, relax, and just have a great time with whoever you decide to take with you! Plus, you can find campsites with restrooms and showers.

Brown Sugar: Secret to Great Skin?

As all us probably want the same thing. Perfect skin. Instead of spending $20+ a month on facial cleansers, you can find ingredients to make facial cleansers right in your pantry.

When I was younger, I would constantly get acne on my forehead and on my chin, but over time, I've been able to keep my face clean with things around the house. Since then, my face has been clear almost year round. The facial cleanser I usually put together is brown sugar mixed with honey. I normally mix 2 tablespoons of brown sugar with 2 tablespoons of honey. This does wonders by exfoliating. Also, since it's sugar, it gives your skin a vibrant look for days!

Walk the Moon: Indie Band of the Year?

I recently saw Walk the Moon in concert in Phoenix earlier this month and I was quite surprised by their performance. They did incredible. I listen to indie bands regularly, but I think this band is something special. Their sound is something that you can't regularly find just anywhere. It includes upbeat sounds that are perfect for the summer. If you're into indie music, I suggest you check them out. And if they're coming into your area anytime soon, I suggest to go see them in concert. Their performance was filled with great music, a pumped up crowd, and a band that was just having fun onstage. Walk the Moon truly had originality, which is a quality that bands often lack today.

Just a few weeks ago, Walk the Moon was actually giving a free song away on iTunes. You might have downloaded it, so check your iPod, and if you did, check it out. The free giveaway was Anna Sun. If you like the song, be sure to keep a lookout for their new album hitting the shelves anytime soon.

How to Dress Like a Hipster

A style that you may commonly hear about is hipster. What is it? The hipster style, in my opinion, is the cross between a hippie and a nerd. Basically, the hipster style does anything but follow what's "in". The key to dressing like a hipster is buying clothes and accessories that you can't find anywhere. Hit thrift stores, vintage shops, and even garage sales. Anything older than 25 years old is considered vintage.

Floral is a must.
Wearing floral clothing gives that vintage feel to it, which is practically what hipster is. It's a mixture of styles from the past. Anything from floral shoes, to floral dresses can be found just about anywhere. In my opinion, they're quite stylish. Whether you're trying to be a hipster or not.

Vintage. Vintage. Vintage.

Nothing screams the 1960s-80s like vintage band shirts. That's why these are a complete must in your closet if you want to dress like a "hipster".

Nerd Glasses.

For some reason, every time I hear the word hipsters, I think of nerd glasses. The reason why? Because almost every hipster owns a pair of these. They can be these type of nerd glasses or any nerd glasses from decades as far as the 50s.

Odd Prints.
If you've found a pair of shorts, or a blouse that is made with a print that no one would ever wear, then bingo, you've more than likely found something that a hipster would wear. In this picture, numbers 2, 5, 6, and 8 are especially hipster. They all give an old-time vibe, which is what hipsters look for.

Many hipsters are often stereotyped to be rebels to modern style and the mainstream ways, but I personally think that it's been turned into a style more than anything.  I think it's a way to be fashionable without being fashionable in the eyes of most magazines. What do you guys think?

Rock of Ages

Wanna have a great time at the movie theater? Check out Rock of Ages, a musical filled with 80s rock music. It's a great movie to see with your friends or even your parents, since we all know they're still stuck in that decade.

I saw this movie on Friday with my family, and I was quite surprised at how entertaining it actually was. It included multiple characters that did a phenomenal job playing their role, such as Diego Boneta, Russel Brand, and Tom Cruise. Also, it was filled with 27 songs from the best decade of rock music. Most of which we could all sing along to.

Rock of Ages starts with the main character, Sherrie Christian (played by Jullianne Hough) , a small town girl, moving to Hollywood to pursue her career. There, she meets Drew Boley (played by Diego Boneta) , a guy working at a bar that is entirely surrounded in rock n' roll. Sherrie gets hired at the bar while they are    preparing themselves for the greatest performance of the decade, the last performance of a band, known as Arsenal (which includes Stacee Jaxx, played by Tom Cruise). Meanwhile, the mayor's wife is trying to shut them down.

This movie includes humor, music, and even little bit of drama. For a musical, I would consider this a success.

Best Haircut For Your Face

As we all know, there are some haircuts that just don't go with our face. We've all made the mistake of getting bangs or parting our hair differently and it's a complete disaster. To make sure that doesn't happen again, here's some tips of how to cut your hair to make sure it looks fabulous.

Which face shape are you? Pull your hair back into a tight ponytail to help you decide.

Long/Oblong Face Shape
If you have a more oblong face shape, the bottom half of your face is round. Your face is basically oval all around. Here are some great haircuts for you!

Sarah Jessica Parker has an long face shape, but with the perfect haircut, it's not too noticeable. As you see, parting your hair closer to the middle, and getting layers up until your chin starts makes your face look shorter and wider, for the illusion of having the ideal face.

Rumer Willis has a more obvious oblong face shape, and she's still able to rock short hair. In fact, I think it looks better short. For an oblong face, it's better to part your hair in the middle or dramatically to one side. Also, the top part of your hair, especially with a short haircut, should be fuller than the lower part.

Heart Shaped Face
If you have a heart shaped face, your chin is longer and it also gets narrower as it gets longer. Luckily for you, you have a face shape that can go with many different hairstyles!

A bob-cut would look great with your face shape! Just make sure that the bob is fullest where the widest part of your face is. This makes your chin look slightly shorter. Luckily for you, you can pretty much part your hair just about anywhere. Just make sure it's parted the way you like it.

If you want to leave your hair long, the best thing to do is layer it, with the shortest layer to the widest part of your face. If you're going to part it to the side, it's best to give yourself side-swept bangs. Also, you can part it directly in the middle, with no bangs.

Square Shaped Face
If you have a square shaped face, your face resembles a box. Also, your bone structure is much stronger than other women. Here are some hair suggestions to make your face look more feminine.

If you have a square shaped face, it's best to keep the layers to a minimum, but they should still be there. Also, it's best if you part your hair just of the center. Since your face probably looks really symmetrical already, parting it just off center will give it a little edge. Straight cut bangs all across your forehead usually doesn't look flattering with this face shape.

Oval Face Shape
Oval face shaped are considered to be very feminine. People with oval face shapes normally have a short, but well rounded chin and a short forehead.

Short bobs look very nice on this face shape. Usually, this face shape looks best with hair that is all one length. Also, it's best to part your hair dramatically to side  if you have this face shape.

Also, pretty much any length of hair looks great on those of you with an oval faced shape. Cheek bone length, chin length, shoulder length, or even waist length.
