1. Go to a Concert
Every single chance that I get, I try to go to a concert. Whether it's a band I'm completely in love with or a band that I don't listen to often, I give it a shot. As long as you go with friends, you'll have a blast. I recently went to a Walk the Moon concert with my two best friends, and not many people have heard of that band, but it was probably the best night of the summer so far. On top of that, the concert only cost $10, so check in your area for concerts that are that cheap or even free.
2. Reinvent Your Wardrobe
At the end of every summer, most of us go clothes shopping for school, but here's another idea, reinvent the wardrobe that you already have. You can do this when you're bored at home; you'd be surprised on what you could put together. You can easily find creative ways to cut an over-sized t-shirt online. Like in this picture, you can even make an over-sized shirt into a stylish dress! It's easier than you think. So next time that you're bored out of you're mind, go to your closet and use your creativity. Plus, it could save you money to do other things this summer.
3. Visit Colleges
Since day one of school, we've all been pressured into going to college, and now that you're probably in high school, it's really time to start planning since going to college may become a reality within the next few years. Yes, it's stressful, so you might as well get some planning done this summer. Visit a few colleges this summer with your best friends, or even your family. This could help your future decision on picking which college you want to go. Plus, a road trip is guaranteed fun!
4. Go to a Water Park
As we all know, summer's can get hot, really hot. On a hot day, there's nothing much better than spending all day swimming and just having fun. For that reason, going to a water park would be a perfect thing to do this summer, especially if you live in an area that reaches the triple digits. Make sure you do some research on water parks in your area. Some areas provide discounts and even have special events, such as opening water parks over night for a cheaper price. Overall, water parks are a great place to spend your day (or even night) if you bring a friend or two.
5. Go Camping
Every summer, I go camping with my family and it has always been relaxing. It has also always been a great way to spend time with my family. Even if it's just an overnight trip, you will definitely have a great time in nature. If you decide to go with family, or even a big group of friends, try going hiking or swimming in a nearby lake. And don't forget your fishing poles! If your year is always busy and full of stress, then camping would be a great activity to do this summer. You can catch up on sleep, relax, and just have a great time with whoever you decide to take with you! Plus, you can find campsites with restrooms and showers.
